2010 Legends for Charity® dinner honored sports broadcaster Cris Collinsworth

The Legends for Charity® dinner honored NBC Sports game analyst and Showtime Sports broadcaster Cris Collinsworth and raised nearly $165,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® on February 4. Collinsworth was presented the Pat Summerall Award which is given each year in honor of the recipient's remarkable character, integrity and leadership both on and off the job. Miami legend Tony Segreto was also recognized for his body of work as a sports and news broadcaster and charitable works in South Florida.

Held at the Westin Beach Resort, more than 400 guests were treated to an evening that included video tributes to Collinsworth and a live and silent auction benefiting St. Jude, one of the world's premier pediatric cancer research centers. Auction items included autographed helmets signed by the AFC and NFC Championship teams and a trip to New York City with tickets to a Yankees baseball game. St. Jude patient Ben and his mother Jackie shared their experience as Ben is currently undergoing treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common form of childhood cancer.

Four previous Pat Summerall Award winners including James Brown, Greg Gumbel, Jim Nantz and Chris Berman, paid tribute to Summerall and the impact he had on their careers. These legends in the field of broadcasting also made a financial donation to St. Jude in honor of Summerall.

The Legends for Charity dinner is produced by Oceans 2 Oceans Productions.
